The Alhambra Iberia Ziricote was already an exceptional guitar when it was remodelled to create a truly unique instrument to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Alhambra Guitars. The most important feature of this Student model is the singularly beautiful wood: the back and sides are made from Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra). This wood produces a deep and warm sound that is reminiscent of Spain itself. Although each guitar is always one of a kind, this is especially true in this model; it is much easier to notice the difference between one Iberia Ziricote and another. It has been designed with a narrow African mahogany neck. Guitarists who play this instrument in live performances tell us that the ergoneck makes all the difference - it is a very comfortable instrument to play. The saddle and nut are made of melamine. This material transmits a lot of sound, without sacrificing balance. The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood, which has a high grade of hardness, but at the same time produces elegant shades of sound.
